Fatebreaker Skyfarer Grade Guide
How to reach Fatebreaker skyfarer grade, unlock Master Traits and Summons, and progress through Chaos Plus and Fatebreaker quests in Endless Ragnarok.
What Is Fatebreaker?
Fatebreaker is the new top skyfarer grade introduced in Ver. 2.0.2 with Endless Ragnarok. It sits above Chaos, Chaos Plus, and Chaos++ tiers and gates the expansion's core progression systems. Reaching Fatebreaker unlocks the Summons tutorial, Master Traits for level 100 characters, and access to the highest-difficulty quest content including revised boss mechanics.
Official patch notes confirm Summons and Primal Bursts work only in Fatebreaker quests (Chaos or higher) and select Conflux areas. Treat Fatebreaker as your primary post-story milestone—not optional side content.
How to Unlock Fatebreaker
- Clear The Tale of Bahamut's Rage (Proud) in the base game
- Complete Conflux Cycle 3 through Maniac-difficulty progression
- Begin the Endless Ragnarok story chapter (unlocked after both requirements above)
- Progress through Chaos rank-up quests starting with Seofon and Tweyen
- Advance skyfarer grade through Chaos Plus and Chaos++ sub-tiers to Fatebreaker
Assist Mode now works on Maniac, Proud, and Chaos+ content if you need help reaching prerequisites. See our unlock guide and Conflux cycles page for detailed routes.

First-Week Progression Tips
Week one after launch: prioritize story unlocks for Fraux and Fediel, farm Conflux Cycle 4 materials once available, and invest Master Traits on existing mains before spreading MSP. Use Backup Characters for standard quests while building under-leveled roster members. Defensive Summon invocation matters more than damage early—soak EX Bursts while learning patterns.
