Endless Ragnarok Summons Guide

Complete guide to the Summons system in Endless Ragnarok: equipping, gauge building, Primal Bursts, and co-op rules.

What Are Summons in Endless Ragnarok?

Summons are Endless Ragnarok's flagship combat addition. Lyria channels primal beasts and allies—over 100 entities ranging from titanic monsters to villagers—onto the battlefield. Some Summons are directly player-controlled for a limited time, while others provide party buffs or trigger through Lyria during Primal Bursts. Summons are restricted to Chaos-difficulty quests and above in the full game.

Each Summon carries passive trait bonuses even when not actively invoked, making equipment selection a strategic layer beyond raw combat power. Summons have tiers (Rare, Epic, etc.), elements, and varying gauge costs.

How to Equip and Invoke Summons

Unlock Summons by progressing through Endless Ragnarok's story and obtaining your first ally. Equip up to four Summons from the main menu Summons screen. In solo play, all four slots are yours. During quests, performing Link Attacks and Skybound Arts fills a shared party Summon gauge.

When the gauge covers a Summon's cost, press the right shoulder button plus the corresponding directional button to invoke it. Each subsequent Summon costs one less than the previous, so expensive allies like Lucilius become cheaper as battles progress. Summoning order matters as much as which allies you bring.

Primal Bursts and Defensive Usage

Primal Bursts are enhanced chain attacks requiring Link Time followed by a Full Burst from all four party members' Skybound Arts. The resulting primal manifestation deals game-changing damage. Developers expect the most common Summon usage to be defensive: all Summons are invincible while active, perfect for soaking EX Burst attacks from Chaos bosses.

Summons that strengthen through Master Traits and Sigils create build synergy. Check our best Summons ranking and co-op rules page for party coordination tips.

Co-op Summon Sharing

In online co-op, each joining player claims one Summon slot from the host. A full party of four means one Summon per player. Smaller groups give the host access to additional slots. You still benefit from passive traits on all equipped Summons, but active invocation may be limited by session composition. Coordinate gauge building to chain lower-cost Summons before deploying expensive primals.
